Salary Range: $19.45-21.66 Per Hour
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Cemetery Grounds Maintenance worker with experience in handling heavy equipment such as Skid Loaders and Excavators. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cemetery grounds with a strong safety mindset, the ability to lift 75 lbs frequently, and expertise in operating heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, planting flowers, and maintaining landscape features using heavy equipment like Skid Loaders and Excavators.
2. Clean and upkeep cemetery buildings, roads, and equipment while ensuring safety is a top priority.
3. Assist in the burial process by preparing gravesites, setting up tents and chairs, and utilizing heavy equipment where necessary.
4. Adhere strictly to safety standards and regulations, particularly when operating heavy equipment and lifting items up to 75 lbs frequently.
5. Provide professional and courteous assistance to visitors, focusing on safety while meeting their needs.
6. Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions promptly to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in grounds maintenance, particularly involving the operation of heavy equipment like Skid Loaders and Excavators.
3. Proficiency in operating and maintaining heavy equipment and landscaping tools.
4. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a safety-oriented mindset.
5. Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 lbs frequently, with the physical capability to operate heavy equipment.
6. Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
7. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, maintaining a focus on safety at all times.
